For more info, you can go here http://www.undp.org/mdg/basics.shtml While it all sounds good- we need to remember just how "efficiant" the UN is. Oil for food comes to mind, their incompetance and impotance in Sudan and other places, the charge that some Peace keepers are raing your girls in impoverished countries. The list goes on and on. Not to mention that the US pays billions already to the UN and is alwaysfirst on the scene with aid when a disaster strikes. Americans are givers at heart- we DO NOT need the government or a world body who, by all accounts is made up of many of the countries that hate our guts, to tell us to give more money! Congress has NO right to pass this bill- and in my eyes is about as treasonous as they have been in recent years. They all need to be elected right out of washington! God Bless Dirk, and thank you again for putting this info out for everyone!
