This was sent to me in an e-mail and thought it was very interesting. The information is from the TAX FOUNDATION.
"Taxes under Clinton 1999 Taxes under Bush 2008
Single making 30K - tax $8,400 Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $14,000 Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $23,250 Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K - tax $16,800 Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $21,000 Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $38,750 Married making 125K - tax $31,250
If you want to know just how effective the mainstream media is, it is
amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is
STEALING FROM them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If any Democrat is elected, ALL of them say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened."
Here is a direct link to the tax tables to show it: http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.html. When you go to the polls this November, this is just one of many things to keep in mind, especially if you plan to vote for a Democrat.
P.S. I've been sick since Friday, spending a lot of time in bed, so I haven't been spending much time on here. That's why my entries are so short lately. I'll make my way around to everybody, and I want to welcome my new readers. Thank you for reading and commenting! I look forward to catching up in your journals, both new and old readers.

Isn't it amazing how much of a difference there is in the taxes? Then too, Clinton had his big "marriage penalty" tax. Why penalize people for being married?
Hope you feel better and I certainly hope that it isn't the flu!

Nelishia had said you weren't feeling well ~ I hope you start feeling better soon.
Thanks for this information...amazing! There is quite a big difference between the two.

I was not aware of these statistics. And the difference between Bush's tax for lower income people and Clinton's. I will have to think on this as I have been voting republican for sometime and have been thinking of voting for Obama if he become the candidate, but never Clinton. Hope you get feeling better? You must have needed the rest. Gerry http://jouranls.aol.com/gehi6/daughters-of-the-shadow-men/
Hi Dirk- I hope you're feeling better by now- if not, sorry I sent you all those long articles!! ;-) This is extremely interesting, and I will be printing out a copy of this and showing it to my mother in law (whom I love- but she's a true blue lib!!) I doubt it will make much difference, as I've learned with many of my liberal friends, even though they are very intelligent in other areas- seems like they could give everything they own to liberal democrats- and the dems take whatever they are given and use it for their own gain- but their supporters still look at them as some kind of hero. I just don't get it- but they don't get me either. Thank you for your kind comment on my last post, and yes- I am actually quite excited about the whole incident! You know what I mean! It's something so tiny, but it does mean alot to have it finally happen! God Bless, feel well and have a great rest of the week! Carolyn
Strange they should of gone up with the rate of money equitity instead they went down....Looks as if Clinton had deep pockets , whereis the taxpapers were bordering on broke....
Keeping you in my prayers on the smoke dear friend. Hope your feeling better soon. (Hugs) Indigo
i am a lifelong Democrat and plan to die a Democrat. Hell would freeze over before i could vote for any Republican. Did you see my Bill Clinton pics from my photo journal? He came to my city a week ago.
I am SOOOOOO glad you are feeling better! Now we gotta get Nelishia better. I wish i was closer to you all, i'd be there right now!
