LAHOMA WENT HOME LAST NIGHT

Most of you may already know, but we lost one of our J-landers last night.  At 9:50 p.m., Lahoma (LAHOMA'S LAMENTS) left this world and went home.  Lahoma has been a close friend of my wife's and I just wanted to post a few words in this journal.'

Lahoma understood the meaning of being a true friend.  When my wife, before we met, was going through some of the worst times of her life that no one should have to face, Lahoma was there.  There were times when Nelishia (PRAYING AND BELIEVING) had no family or friends to call on, and folks, I really mean NO ONE.  That's a place that few people have ever been.  Many think they have, but really haven't.  Nelishia had Lahoma.  Lahoma wasn't one to disappear when someone was going through hard times as many so-called friends do these days.  Lahoma was such an inspiration and comfort to Nelishia.  Physical distance separated them, but they are bonded like sisters.  For those of you who understand, Lahoma is a sister.

I believe Lahoma was given this time so she could make things right with God.  We were told that she had made peace with Him, and that is the most wonderful news!  A group from our church went and minstered to her recently.  It was by proxy because Lahoma was asleep and Robert didn't want to wake her.  But he allowed our church group to minister to her through him and he went back to the house and followed their directions.  I think Lahoma was granted this time so that could happen.  I will be eternally grateful that she had that opportunity.  The three of us will be together in just a little while, but Lahoma will be missed here.

I never had the oppurtunity to get to know her athough I have heard many many great things about her through other J-landers in their journals. I am sorry that she passed... but I am glad that she had the chance to make her self right with God. Her family and friends are in my prayers.

Great entry and memorial to Lahoma Dirk! She is not suffering anymore, she has gone home. I am so glad she made her peace with god before her time came! We will all meet her someday. Thanks for the wonderful entry for a wonderful woman!

This tribute is very nice.  I am glad that Nelishia had a friend when she really needed one and that this woman knew how to be.  I did not know her, but I believe she was a good friend to many and that counts a lot in this world.  Gerry

i have had Nelishia on my mind all week.....i always do anyway but i can feel Ne's pain here and i mean that....i know what Lahoma meant to Nelishia and i am so very sorry for her loss. What a blessing that Lahoma was able to make peace with the Lord before going home to Him.

This is a wonderful tribute to Lahoma, what a good friend she proved to be to Nelishia.  I am sure the loss is difficult for you both.  I cared a lot about Lahoma, for some reason she made her way right into my heart and never left.  I didn't have the priviledge of knowing her like you & Nelishia did but I am grateful for knowing her at all.  I am happy she made peace with God, she is smiling upon us now.
