Just a few observations of my own here.  FOREIGN POLICY: How can you support a "One China" policy, how can you support Taiwan at the same time?  Red China considers Taiwan part of their country, and would not have any reservations at all about taking it by force.  This has already been threatened recently. The last thing in this category is "Engage China, protest Tibet."  Do they mean militarily engage China?  After the Clinton administration decimated the military with massive funding and personnel cuts, does the DNC actually believe that we could engage a TWO MILLION MAN STANDING ARMY?????  It would be nice to think so, but realistically no.

HOMELAND SECURITY: Anyone who's watched the mainstream media knows how the Democrats have continuously accused President Bush of lying about Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs).  Why then, is it listed as one of three challenges??? If they don't exist, WHERE'S THE CHALLENGE?

As I've said before, what candidates say to try to get elected and their party platform are often two different things.  If you're new to my journal, read my previous posts outlining the Democratic party platform and remember, candidates are committed to their particular party platform.  More to come!

"Reform intelligence community internationally and locally"  This is the one that caught my eye Dirk- Isn't theretalk of Obama having jamie gorelik on his "team"? She's the one that wrote the famous wall of separation between federal agencies such as the FBI and CIA to where they couldn't share info- and in my view was a big contribution of the Clinton years that brought about 9/11.  So again, democrats want to bring America into a pre 9/11 mindset- one where they still refuse to believe there are people of Islamic persuasions who want to kill us and have wmd tehnologies to do so!  Keep up the excellent work Dirk! God Bless and Thank you!  Carolyn
