IT'S NOT NECESSARILY WHO YOU VOTE FOR, BUT WHAT . . .

This is another entry in my on-going series on party platforms.  Here is the Green Party continued:

GREEN PARTY ON FREE TRADE

Reject NAFTA, GATT, & WTO. (Jun 2000) (These are clickable links if you are not familiar with these terms).

GREEN PARTY ON GOVERNMENT REFORM

No issue stance yet recorded by OnTheIssues.org.

GREEN PARTY ON GUN CONTROL

Support Brady Bill & thoughtful gun control. (Jun 2000)

GREEN PARTY ON HEALTHCARE

  • Health care is a human right. (Jun 2000)
  • Nationalize health care & ensure universal coverage. (Jun 2000) (Otherwise known as "socialism".  Major tax increases to pay for this one.  There are NO free lunches!)

GREEN PARTY ON HOMELAND SECURITY

  • SDI doesn’t work; money better spent elsewhere. (Jul 2000) (In other words, do away with our defense system against nuclear ballistic missle attack. SDI is also a clickable link.)
  • Abolish nuclear weapons. (Jun 2000) (In the U.S. only - our enemies? NEVER!)
  • Cut defense budget by 50%. (Jun 2000) (Which would for all intended purposes wipe out national defense entirely).

GREEN PARTY ON IMMIGRATION

  • Don’t blame immigrants for social and economic problems. (Jun 2000) (Real firm stance on securing the borders? NOT!)
  • GREEN PARTY ON JOBS

  • Support a Living Wage. (Jun 2000) (Specific plan??)
  • GREEN PARTY ON PRINCIPLES & VALUES

No issue stance yet recorded by OnTheIssues.org.

    GREEN PARTY ON SOCIAL SECURITY

Don’t privatize Social Security. (Jun 2000) (I'll go along with this.  Private industry can run ANYTHING much more efficiently than government can, but when you mix the two, it ends up disastrous.  As I said before, there are two problems with Social Security that absolutely NO politician in Washington will admit: The Social Security trust fund was eliminated, and what you and I pay into Social Security is used to pay for everything BUT Social Security; Benefits have been extended and re-extended over the years to include those who have never paid anything into it.  Basic math says YOU CAN'T DO THAT!)

    GREEN PARTY ON TAX REFORM

    • Tax incentives to redistribute unbalanced wealth. (Jun 2000) (Not as subtle about this as the Democrats.  This is the basic definition of MARXIST SOCIALISM [clickable link]).
    • Reform system to provide tax justice. (Jun 2000)
    • Support progressivity; no flat tax. (Jun 2000) (Progressivity IS either a flat tax or national sales tax instead of the present income tax system.  The current system is oppressive and unfair - and the left supposedly wants to eliminate "unfair".)

    GREEN PARTY ON TECHNOLOGY

No issue stance yet recorded by OnTheIssues.org.

GREEN PARTY ON WAR & PEACE

No issue stance yet recorded by OnTheIssues.org.

GREEN PARTY ON WELFARE & POVERTY

    • Negative income tax to keep all adults above poverty line. (Jun 2000)
    • Workfare is slave labor. (Jun 2000)
    • Restore federally funded welfare entitlement program. (Jun 2000) (Restore SOCIALISM).

This concludes the Green Party platform.  My next entry on the Green Party platform will be the analysis based on voting records along with the graph illustrating where the Green Party ideology is.  Needless to say, this party is extremely liberal in its ideology, more so than the Democratic party.

Good grief Dirk~  At least they aren't trying to cover up their socialist agendas, that is when they actually do have an agenda.  BTW, isn't this the same maxine Waters that assaulted a Capital policeman?  These people frighten me - not because they will get elected, but because there are more of them out there all the time.  God bless and thank you for posting the Barack Hussein articles too- new one on WND this morning.  The Palestinian brothers are still denying they got an money back.  I wouldn't trust them as far as I coiuld throw them, but they hve no reason to lie about something like this- they LIKE obama and wouldn't do anything to harm his chance of winning~  God Bless!! i hope in my lifetime they do not have nationalized health care. Working class poor like Rick and myself will die waiting for help.
Jobs should be the MOST important issue right now, as far as i am concerned. For those who have to work good jobs are gone.....even college educated are working for $7 an hour. Terrible.
